Excursion to the Middle Atlas

Explore the land of the first inhabitants of Morocco often labeled "The Berbers" but originally called "The Imazignen" which means the free men.

After half an hour drive to Imouzer Kandar in the middle Atlas, you will notice how the scenery changes to hills with cedar trees at Imouzzer du Kandar.

On the way to Ifrane, a short stop at Lake Daet Auwa is inevitable to enjoy the fascinating landscape with its lake and surrounding hills.

Ifrane is often compared to a Switzerland city in Morocco, because of its redbrick roofs, greenness, waterfalls and tall cedar trees

After 15 minutes drive on the main road to Azrou, a quick visit to Cedar Goureau which is considered one of the biggest and oldest tree in Morocco is necessary.

You will be surprised by Barbary apes, sometimes in big groups, wandering around and getting closer to visitors to be fed.

Another 10 minute drive will take you to Azrou.
